Zirakpur: Under-construction shed collapses, two labourers dead
Zirakpur, March 29: An under-construction shed collapsed in Zirakpur on Tuesday, killing two labourers, while seven have been buried, according to reports.
According to the sources, the incident took place at around 11 am on Tuesday, when the under-construction shed collapsed, killing two individuals in the accident and burying seven of the labourers working on the construction site.
As many as 30 labourers were involved in the construction when the shed collapsed. According to reports, five more were severely injured in the accident and were rushed to GMCH Sector 32 Hospital in Chandigarh for treatment.
One woman who was seriously injured in the accident succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

"The incident took place at around 11 am on Tuesday when the shed collapsed. Seven of the labourers who were working on the site were buried. Two are dead while the other two are seriously injured," informed an official.
As per reports, the contract for the construction of the shed has been allocated to Balwinder Singh, a contractor from Rajasthan while the contract for flooring and other work has been given to another contractor.
