Yuvraj Singh supports farmers, distances himself from father Yograj Singh's remark
Yuvraj Singh Birthday: Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Saturday took to social media and announce that rather than celebrating his birthday, he wished for a speedy resolution to the ongoing farmers protest. Yuvi also distanced himself from a remark made by his father Yograj Singh. Taking to Twitter, Yuvraj Singh, on his birthday, said that "undoubtedly, farmers are the lifeblood of the nation and he believed that the problem could be resolved through peaceful dialogue." "As a proud Indian, I am indeed saddened and upset by the statements made by Mr Yograj Singh. I wish to clarify that his remarks have been made in an individual capacity and my ideologies are not the same in any manner," Yuvraj Singh said condemning Yograj Singh's remark. Thousands of farmers are protesting in and around Delhi against the three farm laws 2020, passed in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament despite objections raised by the opposition.
