World's trust in India's health sector at new high: PM Narendra Modi
Union Budget 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a webinar on budget implementation relating to the Health Sector.
PM Modi said that the Union budget 2021 allocated for the health sector now was extraordinary. "It shows our commitment towards this sector," he said.

"COVID-19 pandemic has taught us a lesson to be prepared to fight similar challenges in future," said PM Narendra Modi during a webinar on budget implementation relating to Health Sector.
He further said that "the world's trust in the Indian health sector was at a new high." Adding, he said that India has to be prepared for the increasing demand for the 'Made in India' vaccines."

"To keep India healthy, we're working on 4 main things-prevention of illness and promotion of wellness, healthcare access to all, building health infrastructure and increase in quality and quantity of healthcare professionals, to work in a focused manner," said PM Modi.
He further went on to say that India aims to eliminate Tuberculosis (TB) from the country by 2025. "Wearing masks, early diagnosis and treatment also important in its prevention," he added.

He concluded that the Centre was not only investing in healthcare but making sure that such facilities were made available in remote areas too. "Investment in healthcare also focused on bringing in employment opportunities," he said.
