'No relationships, marriage or giving birth': US women join 4B movement, blame men for Trump's win

Hundreds of American women are blaming men for Trump's victory and have joined the 4B movement, vowing to abstain from sexual activity, romantic relationships, marriage, and childbirth as an act of revenge and protest.
The Democratic campaign of Kamala Harris painted an anti-feminist image of Trump.
Several American women have shared recordings in which they cried after Trump's victory. They are now organising the 4B movement.
The 4B movement began in South Korea and has been surging in the United States during the uproar over Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election.
The name 4B derives from four nos. In Korean, "B" stands for "No." This movement emerged in South Korea following the MeToo and 'escape the corset' campaigns.
The 4B movement was not a temporary trend in South Korea, and its impact on Korean society was significant.
According to CBC, in 2021, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol stated that such initiatives were "blocking healthy relationships" between men and women in South Korea.
According to The New York Times, South Korea's birth rate is dropping, and the 4B movement is contributing to this trend.
Now, women in the United States are taking to it.
"Women started thinking about how the government, the state, and men are failing them," Meera Choi, a PhD candidate in Department of Sociology at Yale University said.
This comes after many women had thought that Kamala Harris would win the US elections and defend their reproductive rights.
All polls revealed that women preferred Harris while men supported Trump. Women in the United States believe they were not heard during the elections.
The number of searches for 4B movement in the United States is also increasing.
There is also a group of women criticising the women who are involved in the 4B movement in the United States.
"No guy is losing sleep because you don't want to sleep with them. Not one," stated a person using the X handle LibertyValkyrie.
"The best way to understand 4B and similar social media trends is as a way for young women to create a romantic narrative arc for themselves, one where only a man who proves himself can reluctantly wrestle the heroine down from her perch," stated another user.
The emergence of the 4B movement in the United States is a continuation of the brutal war of the sexes witnessed during the Trump vs Harris campaign. The time frame and nature of the movement's impact on American society will be determined in the coming years. For the time being, it is certain that American women have taken Trump's win personally and are venting their feelings on male voters.
