US Mass Shooting: Armed men kill 4, injure dozens in Alabama
US Mass Shooting: A mass shooting involving a group of assailants killed at least four people and injured dozens in Alabama on Saturday, according to police.
"We believe that multiple shooters fired multiple shots on a group of people in Birmingham's Five Points South neighbourhood around 11:00 p.m.," police officer Truman Fitzgerald told local media.
Officers found two adult males and one adult female unresponsive on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds, Fitzgerald said. All three were declared dead on the scene. A fourth victim died at the hospital, he said.
The gunshot injured dozens of people, including at least four who suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Fitzgerald. He went on to say that the others had "various injuries".
Fitzman said that no one has been arrested in connection with the incident, and urged the public to offer any information that could help the investigation.
The investigation is being conducted by several authorities, including the Federal Bureau of Inquiry and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
Fire and rescue personnel were on the site Saturday night and had cordoned off the area.
