Trump rally shooting: Before the US presidential elections, former US President Donald Trump was fired at while speaking at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Several shots were fired during the event, and the 78-year-old leader was hiding behind the podium on stage.

The leader, who had blood on his right ear, was surrounded by Secret Service operatives in a matter of moments and taken off stage. He mouthed "fight, fight" and raised his fist to the audience as he was being hauled off.

A bullet appears to be flying over his face in a picture that was allegedly taken just before he was attacked. Photographer Doug Mills of the New York Times captured the shot, which depicts a gunshot close to Trump's cheek as he turned to address the assembly.

According to a witness, he spotted the individual who shot Trump on top of a building close to the event site. In an interview with the BBC, he claimed that the gunman had crawled on top of the structure and was carrying a rifle. "Fifty feet away, the man crept up the building. He said, "He carried a rifle."

He claimed to have alerted the Secret Service and police to a suspicious individual carrying a firearm on a roof. "I'm thinking to myself 'Why is Trump still speaking, why have they not pulled him off the stage'... the next thing you know, five shots ring out," he stated to the BBC.

Using his own social media platform, Truth Social, the former US president claimed to have been "shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear." "I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin," stated the man.

The incident has brought together prominent figures in the US from all parties. US President Joe Biden, who is Trump's opponent, denounced the attack and stated that "there is no place in America for this kind of violence."
