'PM will do what's right in taking back illegal migrants', says Trump shortly after telephonic conversation with PM Modi
PTC News Desk: US President Donald Trump has asserted that Prime Minister Modi will do what is right when it came to taking back Indian immigrants who arrived in the US illegally. The remarks came after Prime Minister modi spoke to Donald Trump on Monday and discussed bilateral ties. The conversation was first in nature after the President assumed office.
Donald Trump has vowed to intensify its crackdown on illegal immigrants by launching the biggest deportation programme in the history of United States.
During the telephonic conversation, both the leaders discusses bilateral ties between two of the biggest democracies of the world and expressed their mutual committment towards working together for peace and stability.
"Delighted to speak with my dear friend President @realDonaldTrump @POTUS. Congratulated him on his historic second term. We are committed to a mutually beneficial and trusted partnership," PM Modi said in a post on X.
"We will work together for the welfare of our people and towards global peace, prosperity, and security," he added.

PM Modi last spoke to Donald Trump on November 7 last year when he won Presidential elections and drew sweeping victory. Trump was sworn in as 47th President of the United States on January 20 in a star studded oath taking ceremony which was held indoors for the first time 40 years owing to the frezing temperature.
Trump said that India is a magnificent country, and he considered PM Modi and India as true friends, sources said, adding that both leaders agreed to work together for world peace.
