PM Modi will be the Guest of Honour at French President Emmanuel Macron's French National Day celebrations in Paris on April 14. An Indian tri-services contingent will take part in the Bastille Day Parade, and Indian Air Force aircraft will perform a fly-past.
This year celebrates the 25th anniversary of the two countries strategic partnership.
In his departure statement, Prime Minister Modi stated that India and France work closely in domains such as military, space, civil nuclear, blue economy, trade, investment, education, culture, and people-to-people ties. He described the visit as "particularly special."
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also meet with members of the Indian community and top CEOs from both countries.
