Indian student killed in US : The United States is often considered a popular destination for Indian students and home to many prestigious universities and colleges known for their high academic standards and research opportunities across various fields of study.
After the tragic and heart-breaking tales of several Indian youths across foreign shores, another horrific incident from US came to limelight which gripped tensions, scare and chaos worldwide.
In a recent tragic, horrible and spine-chilling incident, 20-year-old Indian student identified as Paruchuri Abhijit from Andhra Pradesh was killed in US and is body was recovered dumped in a car deep inside forest in US, marking the ninth such dreadful attack on Indian in US in 2024.
Paruchuri Abhijit’s body was discovered from the a forest area on the university campus, leading to suspicions that Abhijit have been attacked for money and laptop.
The murder at the university has raised many questions, and there's a possibility that Abhijit might have had some arguments with fellow students.
The attackers have not been identified yet.
Meanwhile, Abhijit's remains reached Burripalem in Guntur at his residence late Friday evening.
Hailing from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Paruchuri Abhijit was 20-year-old Indian engineering student and was pursuing his studies from Boston University.
Abhijit was the only son of his parents - Paruchuri Chakradhar and Srilakshmi.
As per the statement by his family members, Paruchuri Abhijit was talented since his initial years of education.
The reports also stated that earlier, Abhijit's mother Srilakshmi opposed his decision to study abroad but eventually she changed her mind and supported him as she wished for his future to be bright.
In the recent times, dreams of Indian youth pursuing education in foreign shores is turning into nightmares, with many grappling with mental health issues, robbery, death cases, assault and missing cases.
Several such cases of Indian youths abroad have created a state of panic back home in India. Now parents are either not willing to send their children abroad or whose wards are already settled there are in a state of anxiety and panic.
