Nepal President Paudel faints, rushed to hospital after oxygen level drops
Kathmandu (Nepal), April 18: Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel fainted earlier in the morning on Tuesday and was brought to the hospital. He is currently at Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital-Maharajgunj under doctors' examination.
It was discovered that he had a lung infection and that his oxygen level had dropped, an official at the President's Office confirmed.
"He fainted earlier in the morning and was rushed to the hospital. He is now at Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital- Maharajgunj. Doctors are examining him. In yesterday's follow-up it was found that he had an infection in his lungs," an official stated.
Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel was discharged from the hospital earlier this month following a four-day treatment.
President Paudel was admitted to Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, on April 5 after receiving four days of treatment there.
According to the hospital's official statement, Paudel complained of stomach pain and was sent to the hospital.

Earlier, Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel was sworn in as the President of Nepal.
According to Nepal's Election Commission, Paudel received 33,802 votes, while his opponent, Subash Chandra Nembwang, received 15,518 votes.
Furthermore, according to Nepal's Election Commission, 313 members of the federal parliament voted, while 518 members of the provincial assembly also voted in the election to choose the next president.
The voting took conducted in Nepal's Parliament building in Kathmandu's New Baneshwar. The Himalayan nation's Election Commission has set up two different polling stations at the Hall for federal parliamentarians and Province Assembly members.
