The video captures the men running outside, surrounded by flames and falling embers. The fire's devastation is evident, with trees, neighbouring houses, and even a basketball court engulfed in flames. In a follow-up video, Charles showcased the ruins of his friend’s property, revealing that the entire neighbourhood had been reduced to ashes.
The videos sparked an outpouring of support and prayers on social media. One user commented, “You’re both very fortunate to be alive. I prayed for your safety after watching the videos.”
The Los Angeles wildfires, which began on Tuesday, have claimed five lives, forced mass evacuations, and destroyed hundreds of homes. Luxury cars were abandoned in the chaos as residents fled to safety, with videos showing bulldozers clearing the wreckage.

In an update shared on X, the LA County Sheriff's Department reported ongoing firefighting operations. Helicopters are battling flames on the southwestern side, the most active fire zone. Ground crews are holding the perimeter on the eastern side, while flames inside the area continue to smolder. The "heel" of the fire has been extinguished, though interior hotspots remain a concern.
