PTC News Desk: Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has been killed in Beirut strike in Lebanon, Israel military confirmed.

"Hassan Nasrallah is dead," military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said on X. Israel Defense Forces also posted on X, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

According to an unnamed source close to Hezbollah, contact with chief Hassan Nasrallah was lost since Friday evening, after Israel claimed to have "eliminated" him in a strike on the group's southern Beirut base.

Fighter jet attacks on Hezbollah targets continued into the early hours of Saturday after the Israeli Army said it ordered civilians to leave three buildings it was targeting.

Hours before the strikes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations, saying that Israel's war against Hezbollah would continue, casting doubt on the prospects for an international cease-fire. Netanyahu abruptly cut short his visit to the United States and returned to Israel.

According to Lebanon's health ministry, more than 720 people have been killed since the humanitarian crisis began on Monday.
