Israel-Gaza war anniversary: On the first anniversary of the Hamas' October 7 attack, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) held an exhibition featuring items confiscated from Hamas. The display featured items seized from Hamas, which had invaded southern Israel a year before.

The October 7 attack was the deadliest in Israel's history, shocking the country and triggering the conflict in Gaza.

According to an IDF statement, the display showed the attackers' vehicles, weaponry, uniforms and intelligence materials. Trucks, bikes, tractors, and other vehicles were among the items.

Since the start of the Israel-Gaza war, the IDF claims to have confiscated over 70,000 pieces of hostile weaponry. This consists of around 1,250 anti-tank missiles, RPGs, and 4,500 explosive devices. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the IDF announced, "Marking one year since the deadly October 7 Massacre, the IDF has established an exhibition displaying the items seized from Hamas terrorists."

Following the October 7 attacks, Hamas infiltrated Israeli borders. This resulted in nearly 1,200 deaths and more than 250 hostages taken, with over 100 still held in captivity. Israel reacted with a strong counteroffensive in Gaza, destroying Hamas' military infrastructure.

However, the increasing civilian death toll in Gaza, particularly among women and children, has sparked global humanitarian concern. Since the conflict began, the Gaza Health Ministry has documented more than 35,000 Palestinian deaths. The violence has spread regionally, with attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels and continued Israeli operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
