'No intent to kill Donald Trump,' says Iran amid feud with United States
PTC News Desk: Along with hostility in middle east and tensions with the United States, Iran has stated that it has no intention of killing US President-elect Donald Trump.
The middle east nation told US media outlet that in what may be a bid to de-escalate tensions with the return of former president to the White House, it would not attempt to kill Donald Trump. The Iranian assurance comes nearly month after US sent a warning in September. US officials said the Biden administration made it clear to Tehran that any threats against Trump are a top national security concern, and any such action would be treated as an act of war.
Iran had accused Trump of authorising the killing of top Iranian commander General Qasem Soleimani who was a prominent figure at home. However Iranian officials have said that they have no further intentions of killing Trump and instead is comprehending to seek justice for death of Soleimani through legal channels.
The development comes as reports surfaced of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk meeting privately with Iran’s UN ambassador in New York this week to discuss easing tensions between the two countries
