Iran-Israel tensions: Netanyahu warns: 'Iran will face consequences for missile strike on Israel'

PTC Web Desk: In response to Iran’s missile strikes on Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning, stating that Iran had made a "big mistake" and would face consequences. Speaking at the start of a Security Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Netanyahu vowed that Israel would retaliate against any attack.

“Iran made a big mistake- and it will pay for it,” Netanyahu posted on X (formerly Twitter), following the missile barrage from Iran. He extended condolences to the families affected by a recent terrorist attack in Jaffa, blaming Tehran for both incidents. Netanyahu said Israel's enemies, including Iran, fail to grasp the nation’s resolve in defending itself.

Referring to the missile attacks, Netanyahu declared that the offensive had been successfully thwarted by Israel’s advanced air defense systems. "This attack failed thanks to Israel’s air defense array, the most advanced in the world," he said, commending the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) for their efforts and expressing gratitude to the United States for its support.

The Israeli Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to fighting what he referred to as the "axis of evil," which includes Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and Syria. He called for global unity in confronting the ayatollahs' regime in Tehran, which he described as the source of terrorism and instability in the region.

Netanyahu assured Israeli citizens that his government would continue its military objectives, particularly securing the return of hostages and ensuring the nation’s future. He urged the international community to stand with Israel, stating that the fight between tyranny and freedom had never been clearer.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant echoed Netanyahu’s stance, reiterating that any attack on Israel would be met with a heavy price.
