Indian-origin billionaire vs. Elon Musk: A clash over trump amid allegations

PTC News Desk: Renowned Indian-American entrepreneur Vinod Khosla and multi-billionaire Elon Musk exchanged verbal barbs this morning following Joe Biden's withdrawal from the US presidential contest against Republican opponent Donald Trump.

Vice President Kamala Harris is the new nominee of the Democratic Party, and Biden has endorsed her.

The unexpected action has further agitated Democrats ahead of the election on November 5. However, Kamala Harris's quick confirmation of her ambition to "defeat Donald Trump" and become America's first female president might help invigorate the party that had grown disillusioned.

Vinod Khosla demanded a "open convention" for the Democrats to select "a more moderate" candidate shortly after the news.

It's time for an open convention and the selection of a more centrist contender who can soundly defeat @realDonaldTrump. It would be fantastic for America if @GovWhitmer and @GovernorShapiro weren't trapped between MAGA and DEI extremism. A rare chance for a more favorable moderate route. Every voter who supports social justice, the environment, and the budget should want it to balance our strategy, he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Elon Musk, the CEO of X, Tesla, and SpaceX, made a proposal for former US President Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, in response to the article.

Musk wrote on X, "Come on, Vinod. Trump/Vance LFG!!"

Retaliating, Mr. Khosla questioned Musk if he would like his kids to follow in the footsteps of the Republican presidential candidate, claiming he was unable to embrace Trump because he "lies, cheats, and demeans women".

It is difficult for me to stand behind someone who despises immigrants like me, has no morals, lies, cheats, rapes, and denigrates women. He may lower my taxes or loosen certain regulations, but that is no excuse to put up with moral decay in his own life. Do you want a president who, in his first year in office, will regress the climate by ten years? Mr. Khosla asked, "Do you want your children to follow his example as a model?

Vinod Khosla is a venture capitalist and one of Sun Microsystems' co-founders. Known for being a major Democratic political donor, Mr. Khosla has given the present campaign more than $1.4 million.
