India-origin Trump's ally Kash Patel confirmed as FBI Director; issues stern warning to enemies
PTC Web Desk: Kash Patel, an Indian-origin official and close ally of former President Donald Trump, has been confirmed as the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) following a 51-49 vote in the Senate on Thursday.
Expressing gratitude, Kash Patel thanked President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi for their confidence in him and pledged to restore transparency, accountability, and public trust in the FBI.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Patel stressed his commitment to upholding justice. "The FBI has a storied history, from the ‘G-Men’ era to safeguarding the nation post-9/11. The American people deserve an agency that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. The politicisation of our justice system has eroded public trust—but that ends today."
I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support.

He assured that under his leadership, the FBI would be rebuilt into an organisation Americans can be proud of.
"To those who seek to harm Americans—consider this your warning. We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet. Mission First. America Always."
Despite strong Republican backing, Senators Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) opposed Patel’s nomination. However, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and the majority of the Republican Party supported him, securing his confirmation.
All Senate Democrats voted against Patel’s appointment, but with a narrow Republican majority, he was successfully confirmed as the ninth FBI Director.
