Henley Passport Index 2024: India ranks at 80th spot, offers visa-free travel to 62 countries
Henley Passport Index 2024: The Henley Passport Index is the original, authoritative ranking of all the world's passports based on the number of visa-free destinations to which their holders have access. The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the world's largest and most accurate travel information database. The index includes 199 different passports and 227 different travel destinations.
Recently, the Henley Passport Index released its latest ranking, placing India's passport at the 80th spot, allowing Indians to travel visa-free to 62 countries.
Four EU member states — France, Germany, Italy, and Spain — join the elite club with Japan and Singapore in having the most powerful passports in the world, allowing their citizens to visit 194 of the world's 227 visa-free destinations.
Afghanistan has the world's weakest passport. It was ranked 104th, with access to 28 countries followed by Syria (103), Iraq (102), Pakistan (101) and Yemen (100).
