France riots: Another 100 arrested, 45,000 gendarmes deployed
France riots continues: As per the sources, at least 78 people were arrested across France, including 20 in Paris, following unrest after the death of the teenager, who was fatally shot by a police officer in a Paris suburb.
The situation seemed calmer on Sunday with 45,000 gendarmes and police mobilized in the country after five consecutive nights of riots.

France has been rocked by a wave of protests following the death of Nahel Merzouk, a 17-year-old of Algerian descent who was shot by a police officer in Nanterre earlier in the week.
Earlier, on Sunday, the grandmother of the teenager appealed to protesters to end the violence and said that they should not damage schools or buses.
"They should not damage the schools, not break the buses, it was the moms who take the buses," grandmother added.
"I'm tired," the grandmother said, adding that Nahel's mother, "doesn't have a life anymore."
The case
A 17-year-old boy identified as Nahel was killed after being stopped for a traffic violation in the Paris suburb town of Nanterre on Tuesday. The police officer who is accused of shooting him was taken to jail. According to the authorities, the teenager was in a Mercedes with two other people when the incident took place.
The Nanterre prosecutor's office reported that the 17-year-old was declared dead at 9:15 am (local time) on Tuesday "after at least one gunshot wound and in spite of the intervention of emergency medics."

Meanwhile, the violence also escalated in Paris and its suburbs marked by looting, fires, and the launching of fireworks. Enraged rioters looted high-end stores including Louis Vuitton, Zara and Nike amid violent protests. Violent protesters looted goods worth millions from high-end designer stores and also targeted an Apple store in Paris by smashing the windows.
