The oath taking ceremony of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance is anticipated to mark the beginning of a new era in US domestic and foreign policy.

Dr. S Jaishankar to attend Donald Trump's oath taking ceremony on January 20

PTC News Desk: External Affair Minister Dr. S Jaishankar will be attending Donald Trump's swearing-in ceremony which will be held on January 20. Trump will assume office as the 47th President of the United States of America. 


External Affairs Ministry announced its decision on social media. 

"On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the Swearing-In Ceremony of President-Elect Donald J Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America," the statement read. 

The oath taking ceremony of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance is anticipated to mark the beginning of a new era in US domestic and foreign policy. As a vital ally, India will be closely monitoring the administration's position on matters such as H1-B visa reforms, supply chain stability, and the Indo-Pacific region.

The swearing-in ceremony which scheduled to take place on January 20 also marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a national holiday in the United States.
