CEO, family killed as chopper plunges into Hudson river in New York | Watch
PTC News Desk: A family of five Spanish tourists were killed after their sightseeing helicopter crashed midair and plunged into Hudson river in New York on Thursday. The pilot along with other five family members was also killed in the tragic incident.
Agustin Escobar, the head of the Spanish division of the global technology company Siemens, and four members of his family were among those killed.
The tragic incident prompted a large-scale emergency response from officials on both sides of the river.

"Due to a helicopter crash in the Hudson River, in the vicinity of the West Side Highway and Spring Street, expect emergency vehicles and traffic delays in the surrounding areas," the NYPD wrote on X.

A massive rescue operation was launched as soon as the incident came to fore. The videos widely circulating on social media captured the Bell 206 helicopter upside-down and fully submerged in the water.
