Canadian Police rules out foul play in Sikh teen's death in Walmart oven

PTC News Desk: A month after the death of a 19-year-old Sikh woman  Gursimran Kaur who was found dead inside a walk-in oven at a Walmart store in Canada's Halifax, Police have ruled out any evidence linked with foul play in the matter. The officials have declared that the circumstances in her death are not suspicious. However, the cops have not yet determined the nature of the death, asserting that the investigation is underway.

In a statement, the Halifax Police said that their investigation found no evidence of foul play in the October 19 incident. Kaur was found dead on October 19 at around 9:30 pm in the bakery department's oven while working at a Walmart store.

"We understand there have been many questions about what happened. As a part of the investigation, we conducted several interviews, reviewed video footage, and worked very closely with our partners," Martin Cromwell, a Halifax Police officer said.

"Our investigation has not led us to suspect foul play. We do not believe anyone else was involved in the circumstances surrounding the woman's death. The Department of Labour and the Medical Examiner Service are continuing their work, but we do not believe the death to be suspicious," the officer further added.
