Canada Punjabi students' accident: Brother-sister duo and their friend, all from Punjab, die in Canada road accident

PTC Web Desk: In a tragic incident, three Punjabi students died in a tragic road accident in Canada. The deceased have been identified as Reshamdeep Kaur from Samana and brother-sister duo Navjot Somal and Harman Somal from Amloh's village. The accident took place when a tyre of their car burst.

The families of the deceased have urged the Punjab Government to facilitate the return of the bodies to their native villages. The trio had gone to Canada for studies.


As per reports, the accident took place near Mill Cove in Canada. The students were travelling from Moncton city in New Brunswick province when the car's tire burst and the vehicle overturned. All three occupants were ejected from the vehicle with severe injuries. The local police took them to hospital, where they were declared brought dead by the doctors. The news has left their families in Punjab devastated.

This incident follows the recent death of another Punjabi student, Lakhwinder Kaur, from Batala in Gurdaspur, in a road accident near Brampton on July 22. The 21-year-old had been in Canada on a study visa for 10 months. Two other girls also died in that accident.
