4 Punjabi ministers inducted in British Columbia Govt
New British Columbia Government : Four Punjabi ministers inducted in British Columbia Government as Minister of State in the NDP government of British Columbia (BC) in Canada on Wednesday.
The new Council of Ministers of British Columbia was sworn in at the Government House in Victoria.

Four natives of Punjab - Jagrup Brar, New Democratic Party (NDP) leader ; three-time MLA from Surrey Green Timber, Rachna Singh ; Harry Bains, and Ravi Kahlon has been appointed as Attornery Genral of Canada’s British Columbia government.
Jagrup Brar was born at Deon, a remote village of Bathinda. He then moved to Canada to study Public Administration and received an MPA.
Brar is a Member of the Legislative Assembly in BC. He represents the Surrey-Panorama Ridge constituency.
Meanwhile, Rachna Singh created history by becoming the first South Asian woman to become Education and Childcare Minister of British Columbia province in Canada. She is the second Punjabi after Moe Sihota to handle the portfolio.
She moved to Canada along with her husband and children in 2001 and worked with CUPE as a social worker before being nominated as candidate for Surrey-Green Timbers by the NDP.
