2 Punjabi youths die in car crash in Canada
PTC News Desk: Two Punjabi youths were killed in a terrible car accident. There is currently no information available regarding the reason for the accident. According to sources, one of the youths was from Mohali, while the other was from Punjab's Bathinda District.
The deceased youth has been identified as Harshanur Singh, a resident of Mohali's Sector 66. The news of the young man's death devastated his parents.
The deceased youth's parents cried as they informed that their 20-year-old son had only gone to Canada for studies in December 2023. They said Harshanur Singh excelled academically.
According to the victim's parents, Harshanur Singh was in a car with four friends when they were involved in an accident on the Coquihalla Highway. Harshanur Singh and a Bathinda youth in the back seat of the vehicle were killed in the crash.
The other three youths suffered minor injuries but survived the accident. Harshnoor died in the hospital after being on a ventilator for 4-5 days due to head injury sustained during the crash.
He said it is unclear whether the accident occurred due to speed or for other reasons. They are currently working to bring Harshanur's remains to India so that they can perform last rites.
