Newly-wedded Mumbai woman among 2 Indians killed in UAE building fire
UAE building fire: At least two Indians have died in a tragic Sharjah fire, according to the Khaleej Times, citing family members and social workers.
A fire broke out at a high-rise residential building in Al Nahda on Thursday night, killing five people and injuring 44, police said on Friday, adding that the deaths could have been caused by suffocation.
Michael Sathyadass, an Indian sound engineer, was one of two victims.
According to his brother's social media tribute, Sathyadass worked as a sound engineer at DXB Live in the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), where he played an important role behind the scenes at concerts featuring artists such as Bruno Mars and AR Rahman.

The second Indian victim was a 29-year-old Mumbai woman who had recently married in February.
"They married in February in Madinah. After their wedding, they moved in together to live in the building in Al Nahda where the tragic incident occurred," the deceased woman's friend told Khaleej Times.
Her husband is in critical condition in the hospital.
"Doctors stated that his condition is extremely critical... We are all praying for him," a friend stated. The Indian Consulate General confirmed its support for the families of those killed and injured.
