#WillAndChris controversy at Oscars explained; Know what happened and why
#WillAndChris: A heated confrontation between Hollywood actor Will Smith and Chris Rock was a reaction to a joke made at the expense of Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of Will Smith at Oscars 2022 or 94th Academy Awards.
Referring to her as "GI Jane", Chris Rock made an unsavoury joke about Jada's baldness, to which her husband Will reacted with a slap onstage.
The incident left the audience at Oscars 2022 shocked amid actors Will Smith and Chris Rock "unscripted on-stage altercation".

“Javier Bardem and his wife are both nominated. Now, if she loses, he can’t win,” Chris Rock started his piece, adding, “He is praying that Will Smith wins, like, please, lord. Jada, I love you. ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it, all right?” As the joke received a tepid response, Chris Rock added: “That was a nice one!”
