Viral video from Turkey: Milkfed lodges complaint with cyber cell
Chandigarh, May 6: Following a viral video of the name of Verka being maliciously used to harm the brand’s reputation in an old video from Turkey, Milkfed has lodged a complaint with the cyber cell of the Punjab Police under the IT Act, 2000. Condemning the incident, Finance and Cooperation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said the name of Verka has been maliciously used to harm the brand’s reputation and the video was old. The video was recorded in Turkey, but Verka’s name was superimposed on it. Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said the Punjab Government would taken a serious note of the act and action would be taken against the guilty. Managing Director, Milkfed, Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, who had got a complaint lodged with the Cyber Cell, said the video had no link with Verka. He said the video had been shot in a suburb named Konia of Central Anatolian State of Turkey. The video was reportedly uploaded by a resident of Turkey named Ugur Turgut and the Turkey government had taken action against both offenders.
