Vigilance Bureau nabs registry clerk for taking Rs 10k bribe
Chandigarh, September 7: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau intensifies its drive against corruption on Wednesday and nabbed registry clerk Jaspal Singh, posted at tehsil Dirba, Sangrur district red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000. Disclosing the details, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau (VB) said registry clerk Jaspal Singh was arrested on the complaint of Sukhdev Singh of village Sular, Sangrur district. After verifying his information, a Vigilance team from Patiala range laid a trap and the accused clerk was arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
