Uttarakhand: Jim Corbett National Park may be renamed as Ramganga National Park
The prominent Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand may be renamed as 'Ramganga National Park', a report said on Wednesday. Jim Corbett National Park Director Rahul on Wednesday informed that Ashwani Kumar Choubey, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has recently visited the park and said that it will be renamed as Ramganga National Park. Jim Corbett National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand which is also known for its Bengal tigers. Animals, including tigers, leopards, and wild elephants, roam the Dhikala zone while the Sonanadi zone is home to elephants and leopards, along with hundreds of species of birds. -PTC News
