Uttar Pradesh: Lawyer shot dead in court in Shahjahanpur
In a shocking incident, a lawyer was allegedly shot dead inside court premises in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur on Monday.
The body of lawyer was found on the third floor of a district court with a country-made pistol near it.

S Anand, Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur, stated that the "circumstances around killing were unclear."

The lawyer has been identified as Bhupendra Singh. Reports stated that the lawyer was speaking to someone and suddenly there was a loud bang and he fell to the floor.
However, the initial reports stated that the man was alone and that no other person was seen around him at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, the forensic team is looking after all the aspects.
A fellow lawyer of the court said that they were unaware of details. "We were in court, someone came and informed that a man has been shot; has been killed," he said, adding that a country-made pistol was found near the body.
The deceased was earlier working with a bank and had been practising as a lawyer for last 4-5 years, the fellow lawyer added.
