UP ATS arrests JeM, TTP linked terrorist from Saharanpur
Uttar Pradesh, August 13: UP ATS arrested one terrorist associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Saharanpur. As per the sources, Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorist tasked to kill suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma has been arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police. Notably, JeM (Jaish-e-Muhammad) and TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban) were in direct contact with the terrorist Muhammad Nadeem. Apart from this, police also found phone chats and voice messages between Muhammad Nadeem and TTP terrorists. Meanwhile, ADG Prashant Kumar stated that Nadeem was planning on conducting terrorist activities in many places in UP. He was connected with Pakistani handlers via online methods to conduct terrorist activities. ADP further said, “It was in 2018 he came in online contact with Hakimullah, member of JeM in Pakistan, who introduced him with another member, Saifullah. He created virtual IDs from India & sent them to Pak handlers so he may hide his digital footprint.” “Saifullah gave him a manual to make IEDs. He was also trained for lone-wold attacks by knife. Nadeem identified targets for same. He was in contact with several handlers on Pak-Afghan border, they encouraged him to conduct anti-India activities here,” he added. As per the sources, JeM terrorists have also given his fellow terrorist names.
