Reason behind Bobby Deol’s lesser screen time: Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol starrer action thriller film 'Animal' has received massive love from the audience and the craze for the film doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon. 

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Actor Bobby Deol has been receiving love from all around the world for his performance in 'Animal.’ Proud father Dharmendra and fans is likewise pleased with his Deol’s performance in 'Animal.' 


While some fans liked Bobby Deol’s performance, other also demanded his longer screen time, but however despite Lord Bobby’s limited screen time, he emerged as one of the wildest villain of Bollywod industry. 

Reason behind Bobby Deol’s lesser screen time in ‘Animal’ 

According to the reports, the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga broke his silence on shorter screen-time of Bobby Deol and revealed the truth behind introducing Bobby Deol after almost two and a half hours of film. 

Unveiling the truth behind introducing Lord Deol in last stanzas of the ‘Animal,’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that like other films, he didn’t wanted to showcase the basic and routine entry of the villain. 

He further added that from the trailer, each and ever audience was aware of Bobby Deol’s role as a villain, and fans would definitely wait for his role throughout the movie.  

Sandeep Reddy Vanga further added, “Even after the interval, I thought I can open him, but I thought it is a very routine way to open the villain in a film. So, I made the audience wait for almost 28–30 minutes, and then I introduced him as a bridegroom.”

Bobby Deol opens about his less screen time in ‘Animal’ 

Bobby Deol said, "It’s not the length of the role, it is the kind of the character which has so much substance. I wish I had more scenes but when I signed the film, I knew this is what I had. At that point in my life, I was grateful to God that I was given this chance to play this role by Sandeep."

About  'Animal' 

'Animal' hit screens worldwide on December 1, 2023. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun, a ruthless and ambitious gangster willing to go to any extent to achieve his objectives. The narrative delves into the tumultuous father-son relationship against the backdrop of organised crime.

The storyline navigates the realm of organised criminal activities, showcasing themes of loyalty, betrayal, and power struggles. Arjun, rising within the underworld, aspires to establish his dominance. However, his ambitions are challenged by a formidable rival, portrayed by Bobby Deol, determined to protect his territory. The film also features Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles.

The film, spanning 3 hours and 21 minutes, released in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Bobby Deol Work Front 

Bobby made his Bollywood debut with the 1995 film 'Barsaat', co-starring Twinkle Khanna. He has starred in films like 'Soldier', 'Badal', 'Gupt', 'Race 3', 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' among others. However, his career petered out somewhere in the late 2000s.

After a long gap, he made a comeback in 2018's 'Race 3', following up with 'Class of '83' and a hit series 'Aashram'. 'Love Hostel' also made the best possible use of Bobby's skills, casting him as a silent assassin named Dagar.
