'I was horrified': Woman finds set of dentures in chocolate
PTC News Desk: In a bizarre incident, a Madhya Pradesh woman found a set of false teeth inside a chocolate of a well-known brand.
The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone when retired school Mayadevi Gupta discovered dental prosthetics in a well-known brand's coffee-flavoured chocolate she received at a child's birthday party.
Gupta said to a media outlet that she received a coffee-flavoured chocolate and then saw something hard. "I was shocked to find out it was a set of four fake teeth," she added.
Gupta received the chocolate from a student during a birthday party at the NGO, where she frequently interacted with other social workers. Following her disturbing discovery, Gupta reported the event to Khargone's district food and drug department.
According to India Today, HL Awasiya, an officer with the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA), stated that an investigation is ongoing. A team has been sent to investigate the situation, and samples from the chocolate shop have been sent to the department's laboratory for testing.
This incident follows another unsettling find in Mumbai, where a local doctor, Brendan Ferrao, found a human finger in an ice cream he purchased. The ice cream, manufactured by Laxmi Ice Creams in Ghaziabad, was dated May 11, 2024, and was due to expire on May 10, 2025.
