Viral star of Kumbh Mela Monalisa takes first-ever flight to Kozhikode for shop opening | Watch
PTC Web Desk: Monalisa Bhosle, the social media sensation who gained popularity during the Maha kumbh Mela 2025, took her first-ever flight on February 14, travelling to Kozhikode, Kerala. A video capturing her excitement and curiosity about her first airplane experience has gone viral, generating a buzz among her followers.
Monalisa visited Kerala to inaugurate a shop at the invitation of businessman Boby Chemmanur, who had earlier shared the news on Instagram. In his post, Chemmanur wrote, "Viral star of Kumbh Mela Monalisa on February 14th reaching Chemmanur, Kozhikode at 10:30 am."
Fans expressed their admiration and support for Monalisa's journey. One user commented, "That was great. Let the poor also inaugurate from now on," while another noted, "Don't make fun of anyone, no one is small. One moment is enough to change your life."
Hailing from Maheshwar in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, Monalisa initially visited the Maha kumbh Mela 2025 with her family to sell Rudraksha beads. Her captivating presence and viral videos transformed her into an overnight sensation. With her newfound fame, Monalisa landed a role in the upcoming movie, 'The Diary of Manipur', directed by Sanoj Mishra, known for his previous work on 'The Diary of West Bengal'.
Despite her rising popularity, Monalisa has faced challenges, including a distressing incident at the Maha kumbh Mela, where she alleged that a group of men chased her for photographs despite her refusal. When her brother intervened to delete unauthorised photos, he was reportedly attacked by around nine men.
Adding to her difficulties, Monalisa’s Instagram account was hacked soon after returning to Madhya Pradesh from Prayagraj. She later shared a video with her followers, revealing a glimpse of her life back home while expressing frustration over the hacking incident.
