Viral girl Monalisa gets offer to act in films; director to take her as lead actress
PTC Web Desk: Monalisa, the viral sensation who rose to fame while selling bead garlands at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025, has received an offer to act in films. Following the sudden attention and overwhelming public spotlight, Monalisa has returned to her home in Maheshwar, Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, she was distressed by the excessive limelight and is currently unwell, choosing to avoid meeting anyone for the time being.
Before leaving Prayagraj, Monalisa shared a video on her social media handle, ‘X,’ where she expressed gratitude for the love and support she received. She stated, “For my family’s safety, I have to return to Indore. I hope to return to the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh for the next Shahi Snan. Heartfelt thanks for your love and cooperation.”
Earlier, she had posted another message expressing concern over the disruptions caused by her presence at the Maha Kumbh. “I only came here to sell garlands, but my family and I were greatly troubled by the unintended commotion my presence caused in this holy event. Your affection matters to me, but my family’s safety is my top priority,” she wrote.
Monalisa has received an acting offer for the upcoming film 'The Diary of Manipur', directed by Sanoj Mishra. She will play the role of a retired Army officer’s daughter. Her family has agreed to the project, and Monalisa is set to undergo three months of acting training in Mumbai before the shooting begins.
Meanwhile, Monalisa’s sudden fame has attracted commercial interest, with a hair oil company approaching her for an advertisement.
