Vijay Mallya's son to tie knot with girlfriend in week-long celebration

PTC News Desk: Sidhartha Mallya, the son of millionaire Vijay Mallya, who is on the run, is getting married to Jasmine, his longtime lover. Mr. Mallya posted a picture of himself and Jasmine on Instagram with the message, "Wedding week has begun.#wedding #ily." The pair is seen in the picture holding hands and standing inside a flower frame.

On Halloween 2023, Mr. Mallya asked his fiancée to marry him. The couple's Halloween costumes were featured in photos that the former model uploaded on social media to announce the news. One of the photos shows Mr. Mallya, decked up as a Halloween pumpkin, bowing down and popping the question to Jasmine, who is decked up as a witch. The joyful couple is seen posing for photos in the second image, with Jasmine flashing the engagement ring around her finger.



Mr. Mallya, a former model and actor, is a mental health champion and the author of two books. He also supports youth mental health awareness. He writes about his personal path with mental health in "If I'm Honest: A Memoir of My Mental Health Journey," but his second book, "Sad-Glad," is a children's book meant to be a "companion for a dull day."

Initially gaining notoriety as the director of the Indian Premier League side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he went on to serve as a judge on "The Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2013". His father, Vijay Mallya, was the previous chairman of the Indian conglomerate UB Group, which is mostly involved in the beverage industry.


Born in LA, California, Mr. Mallya grew up in the UAE and London. After completing his education at Queen Mary University of London and Wellington College, he went to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Following his graduation from drama school, Mr. Mallya entered the modeling and acting industries. He has made appearances in several TV series and movies, including as the sex comedy Brahman Naman. In addition, he managed Guinness' marketing and presented a web video program.
