Unnao man arrested after filming reel lying on railway tracks as train passes over
PTC Web Desk: In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district, a man risked his life by lying down on railway tracks to create a dramatic Instagram reel as a train sped over him. The dangerous stunt, captured on camera near Kusumbhi station, soon went viral and drew sharp criticism from the public and authorities alike.
The man, identified as Ranjit Chaurasia from Hasanganj area of Unnao, can be seen in the video calmly lying on the tracks while a train rushes past. Moments later, he casually stands up and walks along the tracks, appearing unfazed by the life-threatening act.
The viral video prompted swift action from the Government Railway Police (GRP), who later apprehended Chaurasia for endangering his life and disrupting public safety.
This is not the first time such risky content has made headlines. Earlier this year, a vlogger faced severe backlash for filming a toddler perched on a rooftop's edge while being held by one hand. In another case, a group from Gurugram ended up in police custody after recording videos while riding on a moving car's bonnet for social media fame.
