Rare one-in-a-billion perfectly spherical egg sold for Rs 21,000 at UK auction
PTC News Desk: Ever thought an egg can burn a hole in your pocket? Well yes it can if it costs more than Rs 20,000. A rare perfectly spherical egg known as one-in-a-billion was sold for Rs 21,000 at an auction in UK.
A perfectly shaped yet unusual egg while defying its conventional shape came to the spotlight after it was bought for a whooping £200 (Rs 21,000 approximately) at an auction by Ed Pownell, a resident of Lambourn, Berkshire.
Roz Rapp, a representative of the foundation said, "We’re thrilled with the outcome. The funds raised will enable us to support 13-25-year-olds struggling with their mental health and help those struck on long waiting lists.”
"The money raised will further help in providing assistance to 13-25 year olds struggling with mental health issues. It will enable us to reach more youths who are needing support or are on long waiting lists, " he added.
