Host Conan O’Brien made history by addressing Indian viewers in Hindi, saying, “Namaskar, wahan is samay subah ho rahi hogi, nashta ke saath Oscars dekh rahe hain aap log” (Hello, it must be morning there; you must be watching Oscars with breakfast). His gesture was met with applause, marking the first time Hindi was spoken by a host at the Academy Awards.
