Haryana: Fortuner car fined Rs 35,000 in Kaithal for illegal siren and tinted windows
PTC Web Desk: The traffic police in Kaithal issued a challan of Rs 35,000 for a Fortuner car violating traffic rules. The vehicle, which had a police siren and tinted windows, was impounded after the violation was detected.
According to police officials, the car had been roaming around the city for a while, frequently using the siren. Upon receiving information, the police intercepted the vehicle and conducted an on-the-spot inspection. During the investigation, the illegal tint was removed from the windows, and the siren was dismantled. The police then issued a challan and took the car into custody.
The Traffic SHO stated that the car owner was violating traffic regulations, which led to the strict action. When questioned about the siren and tinted windows, the owner claimed that the vehicle was used for music video shoots.
However, the SHO clarified that whether a vehicle is used for filming or personal purposes, installing a siren and applying dark window films remain illegal.
The SHO reprimanded the car owner, questioning the misuse of a police siren and the necessity of tinted windows for a music video. The owner was warned that if a similar violation occurred again, legal action would be taken.
