Errol Musk's controversial remarks on Michelle Obama's gender, son Elon Musk's parenting take Internet by storm
PTC Web Desk: In a recent interview, Errol Musk, the father of billionaire Elon Musk, made controversial claims about former US First Lady Michelle Obama's gender and criticised his son's parenting skills.
During an appearance on the 'Wide Awake Podcast' with host Joshua Rubin, Errol Musk alleged that Michelle Obama is "a man who dresses as a woman" and claimed that former US President Barack Obama is "queer." These remarks have sparked widespread backlash and are rooted in conspiracy theories that have circulated online for years.
"We realised Obama is a queer who is married to a man who dresses as a woman. We all learned that. It's not common knowledge," Errol stated during the podcast. In response, the host asked, "Michelle Obama is a man?" to which Errol replied, "Of course, you don't know that?"
Errol Musk's comments referenced a conspiracy theory that gained attention in 2014 when comedian Joan Rivers joked about Michelle Obama's gender. Rivers passed away on September 4, 2014, due to brain damage following a medical procedure, leading some conspiracy theorists to link her death to her comments. However, there is no credible evidence to support these claims.
Errol Musk continued to fuel the conspiracy by stating, "Joan Rivers mentioned it publicly, and she was dead two weeks later... They axed her, yeah. So that's common knowledge. You can look it up anywhere." He went further by making inappropriate remarks about Michelle Obama's appearance in casual clothing.
The claims made by Errol Musk have been widely debunked as baseless conspiracy theories. Michelle Obama and Barack Obama met in 1989 at a law firm and married in 1992. They are parents to two daughters, Malia (26) and Sasha (23). Despite recurring rumours and online misinformation, there is no factual basis for questioning Michelle Obama's gender.
In the same interview, Errol Musk also spoke about his son Elon Musk's parenting, calling him "not a good father." He criticised Elon for being largely absent from his children's lives, attributing it to his busy schedule and wealth.
When asked if he believed Elon was a good father, Errol bluntly replied, "No, he has not been a good dad." He referenced the tragic death of Elon's first child, Nevada Alexander, who passed away shortly after birth, saying, "The baby was cared for too much by nannies and, sadly, passed away while under their watch."
Errol suggested that wealth and the presence of multiple nannies affected Elon's relationship with his children. "They were too rich, too many nannies. Then he had five children with the same woman. They each had a nanny. It was really a weird situation," he remarked.
Elon Musk has previously spoken about his difficult relationship with his father, describing Errol as "evil" and a "terrible human being" during an interview a few years ago. Errol, who has been married multiple times, has a complex family structure, further complicating his relationship with Elon.
