Eatery worker arrested in Ghaziabad for spitting on food | Watch video
PTC Web Desk: A man working at an eatery near Lodhi Chowk police outpost in UP's Ghaziabad was arrested on Friday after a video surfaced showing him spitting on a roti before placing it in the tandoor.
The accused, identified as Irfan (20), is a resident of Nai Basti in Dhampur, Bijnor district. The video, widely circulated on social media on Thursday, prompted swift action from the police.

Indirapuram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Swatantra Kumar Singh confirmed the arrest. He also stated that the Food Safety and Drugs Department conducted a sampling at the eatery following the incident.
The authorities assured strict action against such violations, emphasising the importance of food hygiene and customer safety.
The video, which sparked outrage online, has raised concerns over sanitation practices in eateries and reinforced the need for monitoring food preparation standards.
