PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a couple's silver jubilee celebrations took a tragic turn after the husband collapsed on the stage and died of heart attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The incident took place at a marriage hall in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly when 50-year-old Wasim Sarwat, a shoe trader, was dancing with his wife Farah at a party they had thrown in celebration of their silver jubilee.
The video of the incident has been doing rounds on social media which shows the man cheerfully dancing with his wife before suddenly collapsing leaving his wife and family members shocked and in distress.
Family members took Wasim to a private hospital nearby. "Doctors declared him dead," a relative said. The family later laid Wasim to rest. He is survived by Farah, who is a school teacher, and two sons.
A senior cardiologist said, "Such cases often result from undiagnosed heart conditions. A sudden cardiac arrest can occur when there is an underlying issue with blood circulation or heart rhythm. It is important to seek medical advice if symptoms like breathlessness or irregular heartbeat appear."
