Couple divorces within 3 minutes of getting married; here's why
PTC News Desk: A couple got divorced only three minutes after being declared husband and wife in Kuwait. According to a report in Independent's Indy, the groom insulted the bride as they were leaving the wedding ceremony.
After the formalities were completed, the couple turned to leave the courthouse, but the bride tripped. According to The Metro, the groom called her foolish for falling over. Hearing this, the wife got angry and asked that the judge cancel their marriage immediately. Only three minutes after their wedding, the court agreed and annulled their marriage. It is said to be the shortest marriage in the country's history.
The incident occurred in 2019 and is now going viral on social media.
Reacting to the news, a person said, "A marriage with no respect is a failed one right from the beginning". "If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it's better to leave him," another said.
In 2004, a couple from the United Kingdom filed for divorce after only 90 minutes of marriage.
