Chandigarh: Cop suspended after wife's dance reel on road obstructs traffic
PTC News Desk: The Chandigarh police have suspended a senior constable Ajay Kundu, after a video of his wife dancing on the zebra crossing at Sector-20 Gurdwara Chowk while obstructing the traffic went viral.
The video, featuring senior constable Ajay Kundu’s wife, was shot by her sister-in-law at the Sector 20/30/32/33 rotary, said officials. The incident led to registration of FIR under sections 125, 292 and 3(5) of BNS for obstructing traffic and endangering public safety.
As soon as the video of the incident went vira, another police official filed a complaint st sector 34 police station and investigation was launched into the matter. This led to an FIR against the women under Sections 125, 292 and 3(5) of BNS for obstructing traffic and endangering public safety.
The video featuring senior constable Ajay Kundu's wife dancing on the road while the traffic came to a standstill. Constable Ajay Kundu was also suspended from his post at the Sector 19 police station as the video was uploaded from his Instagram account. However, Jyoti and Pooja were granted bail soon after.
