Tractor March Delhi: Farmers break police barricading at Tikri border
Tractor March Delhi route: Protesting farmers on Tuesday broke police barricading at the Delhi-Haryana Tikri border to hold a tractor march in Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day 2021. Kisan Gantantra parade against the Centre's farm laws 2020 has started from the Tikri border. The route for tractor march to Delhi from Tikri border is: Tikri border-Nangloi-Baprola Village-Najafgarh-Jharoda border-Rohtak bypass-Asoda toll plaza. This is a historic tractor march as no such event has taken place in the past. Ahead of the tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day 2021, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha had issued some guidelines to maintain peace during the rally. Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday morning took to Twitter and wrote: "As we commemorate Republic Day let us ensure rights of the States have not impinged in any manner." "Let us all work for a true federal structure. I also offer my best wishes to the Tractor Parade being taken out by our farmers and appeal to the Centre to repeal the 3 Agri laws immediately," he added. Likewise, former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal wrote: "As we commemorate the contributions of those who helped give shape to our Republic, we should remember that our farmers have also given their utmost for New India.
