School timing in Punjab changed as mercury soars
Chandigarh, March 1: Due to the sudden rise in the temperature in the northern region of India, Punjab has rescheduled the school timings.
The school timing has been changed and now it will reopen from 8.30 am. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted on Wednesday. The Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted on Wednesday, by saying the schools will now start from 8.30 am. All primary schools will get over at 2:30 pm.

He further said that the school timings for middle, high and senior secondary will be dismissed at 2.50 pm. It should be brought to attention that there are about 27,000 government schools in the state.
Date sheet of PSEB also changed due to Hola Mahalla
Similarly, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has changed the date sheet of Class XII due to Hola Mahalla. The examination of environment education subject on March 6 will now be held on April 21. Deputy Secretary of PSEB Manjit Bhattal said that school principals and center superintendents have been instructed to give the information of the students themselves so that the students do not have to face any kind of trouble.
