Punjab police seize 66 kg of opium, arrest 2 for smuggling from Jharkhand
PTC News Desk: In addition to confiscating 66 kg of opium, Punjab Police claimed on Friday to have disrupted one of the largest interstate drug smuggling syndicates based in Jharkhand and to have arrested the principal offender.
The Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav "Fazilka police busts one of the biggest Interstate Opium smuggling syndicate operating from #Jharkhand with the arrest of #BigFish and effective seizure of 66 Kg Opium and meticulously followed up financial trail which led to freezing of ?1.86 crore in 42 bank accounts after arresting 2 smugglers."

The DGP said, "Further investigations ongoing for forward & backward linkages," and stated that the police were dedicated to implementing the CM's directives to eradicate drugs from the state.
