Watch: Punjab Police ASI kills wife, son with service weapon in Gurdaspur village; 'kidnaps' teenage girl
Gurdaspur, April 4: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) allegedly shot his wife and son dead in Gurdaspur district of Punjab on Tuesday. The reason behind his extreme step is still unknown.
ASI Bhupinder Singh allegedly killed his wife and son, identified as Baljit Kaur and Lovepreet Singh, with his service weapon. The incident took place at Bhumbli village in the morning. The accused is posted in Amritsar. As per information, ASI Bhupinder Singh Singh also opened fire at his pet dog.
Sources said the ASI also allegedly kidnapped a teenage girl, who lived in his neighbourhood. Senior police officials have reached the spot and investigating the matter.
